I have been using the same company - and recommended them to many neighbors as well - for the last 5 years on Lake Kegonsa (the second over 7 years) and after two months of emails and calls to fix my lift, I was literally ignored. I called JD Hellenbrand and spoke with Dan who took care of everything in under a week (parts needed to be ordered). They now have all of my pier/lift business!

We purchased a used boat rack, and the remote drive on it failed shortly after getting it installed. Our normal dock company didn't know when they could get the new lift drive unit we wanted. A friend recommended Hellenbrand. I called and talked with the owner on a Wednesday. He had the unit I wanted in stock. The next morning, at 7am, I had a quote for the unit and install. I gave the OK for the work, and by 11:30am, the crew was there to install the unit! The two installers were polite, efficient, and in about an hour, the new drive was working! They hauled off the old drive unit, since I didn't have to deal with that, either. Hellenbrand's price was slightly higher than my normal dock company quoted, but it was worth the money to not have to wait until who-knows-when to get a drive unit. Would not hesitate to do more business with them. We may switch to them for dock install/remove when our current contract expires.

It's Magic! Fantastic first experience. We recently moved to a lake property and had a pile of pier sections and boat lifts in our front yard. I called around to installation companies and what I found made Dan and his team stand out was that he installed when you called pending the queue that might be in front of you. At the time he said we'd have the piers installed in about 1 week which was the fastest of the other local companies. Dan said he had been installing piers since he was 12 and also served our country in the military. I knew he knew his way around a pier and I'm grateful for his service. Travis lead the crew of pier installers and they were very polite and willing to answer questions. After the pier was installed we lucked out and the hoist was installed the next day. We were away for a few hours and like magic it was installed when we came back. Come on summer and new memories!
